At the request of the U.S. Geological Survey and National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the National Research Council is conducting a study to review the present status of spatially explicit land-change modeling approaches and describe future data and research needs so that model outputs can better assist the science, policy, and decision-support communities. Because the committee cannot hear from all the individuals and organizations that have valuable experience and ideas on this topic, the committee seeks your help on the following five questions.
